As a HSEQ Apprentice you will be able to

• Support all safety campaigns and safety alerts sent by clients
• Support on the preparation of HSSEQ reports whenever necessary
• Participate in SESMT, supporting and sharing knowledge within the scope of activity

What you will be doing

• Promote health and safety to all collaborators and partners in every aspect of the organization
• Promote the protection of the environment at all operations in which there is a participation of Maersk Supply Service
• Be proactive to support on providing solutions to different daily challenges of HSEQ department.
• Verify the trend of unsafe actions and conditions
• Support incident person
• Participate in incident investigation
• Follow up HSSEQ performance and prepare monthly reports
• Assist with environmental questions and occupational health
• Support to Create or update procedures related to HSSEQ
• Participate in clients’ meetings, such as HSE Meetings, PEAT meetings, among others
• Support on the preparation for the pre-embark and induction of new employees
• Monitor and give adequate response to Safety Committee Meetings and GSSTB
• Give support with any administrative task related to HSE tools, such as, observations cards, incident reports, findings, etc.

Requirements

• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Portuguese
• Good knowledge of Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
• Good interpersonal skills

Working conditions

• This is a full-time, permanent position based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and reporting to the HSEQ Manager
