What You Will Be Doing
As a Technical Manager, you will oversee the overall technical management of offshore supply vessels (AHTS/PSV). This role involves supervising daily maintenance and repair operations, budgeting, scheduling inspections, and general assessments onboard. You will ensure that assigned vessels meet operational standards and contract management requirements. Communication with suppliers and operation/commercial teams regarding technical and operational readiness, including vessel performance, is crucial.

Responsibilities also include preparing for and managing dry docking assessments, repair quotes, and selecting shipyards for maintenance and special classification inspections. You will track and report on dry docking, repairs, and inspections, develop post-evaluation reports, and ensure compliance with technical standards and quality management systems.

Additionally, you will handle the procurement of technical and operational supplies, monitor vessel technical status, and support HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) management practices to ensure compliance and prevent incidents. This position reports to the Operations Manager.


Who You Are
To succeed in this position we hope you can say yes to the largest extend of below competences: 

  • Possess relevant onboard work experience as a Chief Engineer/Marine Engineer, including experience with offshore supply vessel.
  • Experience with DP (Dynamic Positioning) vessels will be a plus.
  • Have a good understanding of Classification Rules and clients’ requirements.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and identify the root cause of technical problems, plan, and execute recovery actions.
  • Skill in motivating and building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Possess good organizational and communication skills and a hands-on attitude.
  • Independent and creative, capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Analytical ability and highly proactive in solving technical issues.
  • Ability to conduct effective training for vessel crews.
  • Ability to travel on short notice when necessary.
