You will be part of an international legal team in Maersk Supply Service reporting straightly to the General Counsel located in Lyngby, Denmark in close cooperation with the local management team.

Key responsibilities:

• Providing first class legal support to our business in Brazil in close collaboration with the commercial and project teams and focus on the requirements arising in a global company.
• Drafting, reviewing, qualifying, and negotiating various contractual instruments relating to all our activities, including contracts and subcontracts for complex offshore services
• Handling of, advising on and establishing corporate structures and presence in Brazil and potentially new areas of operations
• Working with and managing cooperation with local law firms
• Advising on and handling of legal disputes and regulatory matters
• Explaining legal and contractual matters to other departments and management
• Understanding and managing complex liability and risk scenarios, and presenting to other departments and management
  

Who we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law.
• Master’s degree in shipping/contracts law, or related areas are preferable.
• Brazilian qualified lawyer with strong experience from a recognized law firm or international organization
• Extensive knowledge of the Brazilian offshore industry
• Deep understanding of contract law, including Petrobras bids and contracts
• High performer team player that thrives in a challenging and fast-moving business environment
• Proactive, self-driven and willing to take individual responsibility for your tasks.
• Commercially minded and with excellent negotiating skills
• Comfortable presenting and explaining complex issues concisely to colleagues throughout the business, from offshore crew to top management.
• Fluent in verbal and writing communication in Portuguese and English
