You will primarily be responsible for international tax related matters related to global tenders and cross border offshore solution projects tenders, which requires working closely with the business. These offshore solution projects could be for green energy coming offshore wind projects in Asia and North America as well relating to complex offshore projects for Oil & Gas majors in South America and Africa.
You will be part of the Tax team that is based in Denmark, United Kingdom and Brazil. The Tax team in Maersk Supply Service has a genuine business partnering role and we work closely with the commercial, operational, legal, and business services teams. This role is located at our headquarter in Lyngby, and you will report to the Head of Tax.

Key Responsibilities
As International Tax Manager, you will have focus on Commercial Tax working closely with the business contributing with a holistic view on tax, working on multiple international projects at the same time.
Your key role will be to act as a trusted adviser for the Maersk Supply Service business enabling optimal business and financial performance.
You will be responsible for advising the business on a wide variety of tax functional disciplines including corporate taxes and payroll taxes, both in the tender phase and the execution phase. This advice will span both operational aspects (e.g., contractual issues) and transactional aspects (e.g., structuring).
You will often be acting as an intermediary between specialist international tax advisers and the business, explaining how the business operates on the one hand and demystifying tax technical complexities on the other.
You will also share the tax team’s responsibility for managing global tax compliance, reporting of tax risk and exposures to Maersk Global Tax Function, tax risk management, Transfer Pricing, and tax audits. This will have an international focus.
You will be expected to keep yourself updated on changes in tax rules.
Some business travel is to be expected.
Who are we looking for:
- You have relevant academic qualifications, e.g., Master of Law, Business Administration, Commercial Law or Accounting.
- You have at least 3 years of international tax experience in a multinational company, audit firm or law firm (or a mixture).
- You have strong international corporate tax knowledge and preferable experience with international personal income tax.
- You are proactive, able to work autonomously and have the experience to assess the risks on tax related issues.
- You have a strong analytical mindset and the ability to identify solutions satisfying our commercial and operational objectives.
- You have a commercial mindset.
- Fluent spoken and written English is mandatory.
- Experience in the shipping sector and with tonnage tax is beneficial but not essential.
