The role as Sr. HSE Manager will support our Integrated Solutions department and Vessel Management Department at Maersk Supply Service, Brazil. You will be based in our local office in Brazil, heading up our local HSE team, supporting clients and work with teams on a global scale.

Key responsibilities:
- Be a key ambassador for our company promise of "Safe hands, Sound Business"
- Lead the local HSE team.
- Coordinate HSE efforts between project execution organization and vessel operations
- Ensure that health, safety and environment is always the main priority by acting as a role model and HSE advocate
- Safeguard that our operations are always planned and executed in compliance with our procedures, standards and policies
- Build and maintain a close relationship with our customers ensuring that all HSE matters are addressed and handled timely and professionally and always in compliance with both industry, company and client standards.
- Provide input for tenders and investigate legal/industry requirements prior to start up of operations and entering new geographical operation areas
- Possess a thorough understanding of the requirements for local regulations and possess average knowledge of the international regulatory requirements
- Further development of our Project HSSEQ procedures and processes to cater for future projects within our Integrated Solutions project space, as well as general Safety Management System development in collaboration with members of the global HSSEQ team
Who we are looking for:
- You have people management experience
- A dedicated HSE professional (safety engineer) with at least 10 years of experience from projects in the oil and gas subsea energy sector
- You have been a part of offshore installation and subsea projects within energy sector, and you are bringing with you a solid knowledge from one or more of these fields
- You have experience from marine operations and good know of ISM code
- Master’s degree as Safety Engineer
- You are structured, efficient and have a good eye for the detail while still being able to zoom out and comprehend the bigger picture. You are resilient and able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- You have excellent planning and coordination skills and you are proficient in IT and super user in safety management systems
- As a person you can engage with team members, and steer a common direction both within the team, but also working with other stakeholders within the company as well as with contractors and clients
- You have a clear understanding of or ability to quickly identify clients’ needs and you are collaborative and constructive in the approach to solving problems.
- You have solid experience with client management
- You are easy going and have your own network within the industry as well as being capable of establishing professional relationships and network.
- For you, challenges and uncertainty are perceived as opportunities to explore and develop yourself both personally and professionally
- Fluent in verbal and writing communication in Portuguese and English is a must have for the position
Working conditions:
- Applicants should have a Work Permit to work in Brazil
- The role will be based onshore, but your employment will include travel activity to offshore operations
