Electrical Engineer for Stillstrom

Lyngby Maersk Supply Service Apply before: 2022-12-15

Do you want to be a part of building a new industry in the ocean clean-tech economy? Do you truly believe in the green transition of the maritime space? This is your opportunity to join Stillstrom; a new revolutionary, sustainability-based venture backed by Maersk Supply Service, part of A.P. Møller Mærsk.

We are on a fast-track journey to bring our innovative concept of offshore charging to market. Think of the changes that the electrical charging infrastructure is doing for the introduction of electrical vehicles and imagine the journey we have ahead of us driving the same development for vessels at sea. We have a pilot offshore electrical charging buoy under construction to test with our flagship partner Ørsted, and now we need to seize the oceans, prove our market leadership, and lay the foundation for introducing offshore charging into offshore wind farms and maritime ports. For more information about Stillstrom and our offshore charging concept, please have a look at our webpage:

We are looking for an experienced electrical engineer with the technical capability and drive to be part of our team taking Stillstrom forward. The focus for the role will be to support the electrical line of the program from detailed engineering through to procurement and installation and commissioning, as well as provide input on overall development of new systems.

Your profile

The right candidate comes with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical design, engineering, and integration/fabrication programs. Your experience could be from the offshore renewables or oil and gas industry, electrical transmission or distribution networks, an electrical design/engineering house, or within electrical product development programs.

As a person, you are ambitious, intellectually curious, enjoy the changing environment in an innovative start-up, and you are able to engage with stakeholders from junior to executive levels both internally and externally.

Your responsibilities

Primary responsibilities will be to help drive the engineering and design of the electrical system of our offshore charging concept and manage the electrical supplier base in line with the programme budget and timelines. Electrical system integration experience is a must, and additional experience within protection, control and communications systems is desirable. High and low voltage systems, slip rings, frequency converters, and other offshore electrical components knowledge is also a big plus.

What we offer

We offer an opportunity to be part of an exciting start-up environment in our new corporate venture company Stillstrom with the best from both worlds; an agile and dynamic setting with opportunity to grow both personally and professionally, and a strong backing from Maersk Supply Service. You will be working with some of the biggest, most influential companies in the green maritime transition, providing a unique insight to both start-up and large corporate organizations. You will get to work in a fun and diverse team and a company with high growth ambitions. Together with other bright minds both internally and with our partners, you get to solve significant environmental challenges and make a positive impact on the world.

We look to hire as soon as possible and will be inviting applicants on a rolling basis.

You will be part of a truly international organization. Our focus on diversity is a natural outcome of a company with a strong talent focus, mindset and culture. This goes hand in hand with a commitment to inclusion: all employees are valued and treated with respect at all times, and we believe that our employees thrive and perform better with a healthy work-life balance.
