You will be an important member of our Technical Support team, where you will get the opportunity to work with the latest technical developments within offshore subsea operations. Key Responsibilities:

As a Naval Architect your overall objective will be to proactively support our fleet of specialized vessels. We expect you to be able to identify and address challenges swiftly and efficiently, and at the same time maintain a strong frontline focus. Everything we do must be cost efficient and create value to our clients.

In the position as Naval Architect, you are also expected to be ready to evaluate and assess the technology of the future for our vessels. You will be a key point of contact in our constant drive for optimizing equipment, solutions and systems in order to accommodate our customers’ requirements and maintain our business in a sustainable way.

You will be involved in conversions or retrofitting projects, where you secure the timely progress of the projects by coordinating tasks and activities involving Designers, Yards, Classification Societies, Clients, Statutory Authorities and Subcontractors. Your tasks include managing third party involvement, producing specifications and advising management on technical matters.

As an important and integral part of your job, you will be liaising with all internal and external stakeholders involved in tasks assigned to you and engage in promoting Maersk Supply Service capabilities in meetings with suppliers as well as future clients.

We are looking for:

We are looking for a self-driven individual, who can support the organisation to face and effectively manage all operations related to your area of expertise. You possess the ability to adapt between being focused and detail-oriented to working on fast-tracked ad-hoc activities where timely delivery is critical.

You have relevant experience in marine, off-shore or oil and gas related industries, preferably in a supervisory role. Given your background, you are able to deliver outstanding solutions withing tight deadlines, the budget frame and at the same time with due consideration to rigorous health, safety and environmental procedures. Your experience as a Naval Architect encompasses daily communication and negotiation with suppliers and partners on projects.

Key qualification, courses and competencies for this position:

  • Naval Architect (outfitting, structural)
  • Take-the-Lead attitude
  • A clear and effective communicator with the ability to interact on all levels – with customers, officials and other key stakeholders
  • Experience with the marine/off-shore industry
  • Planning and administrative skills  
  • Proficient in PC office applications  
  • Fluent in both verbal and written English  
  • Ideal candidate possesses knowledge around the operation of Light Well Interventions from subsea support vessels
  • Autocad 2D super-user

Travel activity to be expected in this position is estimated to be up to 30 days annually.
