Key responsibilities

As a Document Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring that internal documents and drawings are created, comments incorporated and issued in accordance with the document control procedure and external documents are issued, commented upon and returned in accordance with the document control procedure. This includes numbering, filing, providing instruction to users, generating status reports, revision control and distribution of electronically stored or hard copy documentation.

 Key responsibilities are:

  • Responsible for updating and implementing the document control procedure
  • Provide training and support for users
  • Supports tendering, projects and departments.
  • Receives, catalogues and stores hard copies and electronic copies of all technical documents/ drawings and related information in an orderly manner, in line with policies and procedures.
  • Responds in a timely manner to requests to retrieve information, information searches and general requests for support from project/department personnel.
  • Accurately updates information as required. 

We are looking for

As a person, you are:

  • Educated to Standard Grade/ GCSE Level (or equivalent)
  • Competent in use Microsoft Office package
  • Experienced in working with Document Management Systems
